Aerobics Class
The Aerobics Class was started in 1997 with ten people emphasizing health of both body and mind. Meeting three days a week, they now average 60-70 people of all ages, gender, background and church affiliation. Each morning begins with joys and concerns of those who wish to share and prayer. Then we begin the 45 minute class that integrates low impact aerobics, weight training and abdominal exercise ending with relaxed stretching. The class is free! All that is required is a smile. Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. in the gym What to wear and bring: athletic shoes, comfortable clothing, exercise mat, light weights The "Drill Sargeant" is Gerry Dunbar. If you have any questions, please call her at 455-0055 Gerry's fitness goal is to overcome the health hazard of aging and help others do the same. The class also enjoys meeting together socially. The social activities include touring museums, eateries, getting acquainted parties and bunco groups and line dancing on certain days before class starts. Gerry has a DVD of her class that you may purchase for $15 to use when you are not able to attend class. It features all the routines used over the 3 day class. |
